‘True hope is swift’ – Shakespeare

Hope is, I think, the most sincere words in the English language or any language for that matter. Love, honesty, truth, bravery etc. are good words but imagine if there was no hope in your life what will honesty, love and integrity mean to you. Nothing.
Hope to enjoy is a joy enjoyed.

No matter how desperate we are, no matter how down we feel, as long as there is hope, we strive to work hard and come out of our misery. The moment there is no hope, human life becomes a wastage. People go down on a path of self-destruction from which no body can drag them out. Life becomes a burden we don’t want to carry and we affect lives of those around us. We take them down too.

Even if there false hope, it becomes our strength. In Hindi, there is an adage, ‘doobte ko tinke ka sahara, meaning, a straw is enough for a drowning person. People have done wonders when they had hope. Edison failed so many times before he succeeded because he had hope. Hope gives us endurance and patience.

Hope gives us the courage. Hope gives us our sense of honesty and integrity. Hope gives us motivation. Hope keeps us alive. It is the lifeline and it is the encouraging thought for human civilization.

So don’t lose hope no matter how unfair life has been to you. As they say, if good days didn’t last, bad days too won’t last.

So be it!!!
