Silence is eloquent
No it’s not Shakespeare today. It’s my quote and it has come
after a great deal of introspection. I believe that we should talk to our
selves. Because we can fool the whole world and may put up a brave face for the
world but when we sit with ourselves, what we feel is of essence.
We can talk with ourselves only if we keep quiet for
sometime everyday. In fact, I find that when I am silent, I am more aware and
more conscious. My observation becomes keen because I am not being distracted
by conversation. One feels a sense of peace and calm.
But most of the time we are scared of talking to ourselves.
Who wants to face the inner fears and insecurities? And with social media being
an easy escape we open our Facebook page or twitter account or Instagram and
post some personal pictures and positive message to show how happy our life is.
But sitting by oneself seems a waste of time to us. In fact, there is such a
cacophony around us that we rarely get a chance to be silent.
We assume that a couple that are talking all the time are
happy but a single glance can convey so much love and care. Isn’t it?
Just try being silent every day for an hour to begin with.
Soon you will find that you enjoy being quiet. I am saying this with experience.
It will have actual physical benefits for your body apart from being a calmer,
more patient and more aware person. Not to talk of emotional strength you will
gain.
It is not easy to begin with but worth every moment. So go
ahead and practice silence
So be it!!!
