I am hot
Just saw a post on Facebook, which said that things expand
when they are hot so I am not fat, I am hot.
Many people had responded with naughty emojis, some wrote very funny and
so on. One remark caught my attention.
It said, I wish it were true.
But I feel that we are as old as we feel and we can actually
loose weight if we come down to it. According to Ayurveda, the Indian medicine
system, you can do it even without doing rigorous exercises or going to the
Gym. There are simple steps that you can take to maintain your weight.
Eating healthy and complete meals as we all know is
one. Eat on time and eat a little less
than your hunger. Eat plenty of vegetables and legumes in your diet. Walk for at least five kilometers every day.
Many of us who are in their forties don’t have thee flexibility. So walking is
one good option.
I find yoga to be the best cure. Yoga is not just a set of
exercises but a complete system of keeping fit and healthy. Pranayama along
with yoga aasans will keep not just your body but mind too healthy and calm. Do
it earfly in the morning and if you don’t have time you can do it anytime but there has to be a gap of 4 hours
after your meal.
But the most effective way to stay fit is to feel young and
fit. Dr. Deepak Chopra, in his book ‘Grow younger, Live Longer’, says that you
can grow younger by changing your bio stat. We can make big difference with
small steps but it is a game of patience. I know many of you are thinking, I
have tried everything but it doesn’t work. But tell me how many of you actually
did something to control your weight when it first increased? Did you take any
measures then? We wake up when things go out of hands.
Make your life style healthy and do it long term. You will
see fat melting.
