Expelliarmus

 Expelliarmus !!!

Harry Potter uses this spell twice to defeat his arch enemy, Lord Voldemort. In fact this becomes his signature spell. Instead of using one of the three unspeakable curses, he uses this to throw his enemies backwards and catching their wand. 

I wish life had a spell where we could just throw all the misery out and defeat our failures, heart breaks and stress. That we had a wand we could swish and flick and problems would disappear. But it doesn’t happen in real life. There is no magic spell, no hexes and no patronus to illuminate our inner fears and insecurities. 

We have to cast our spells of hard work, persistence and perseverance to accomplish anything. There is no short cut to success as they say. We don’t have a fire bolt broom to fly us but only our ambition and strength can make us soar high in the game of life. 

Am I sounding pessimistic? On the contrary I salute to the indomitable human spirit, which gives us the courage to face the challenges life throws at us. We create our own magic, mix our own potion and for that we have our own formula. 

We destroy the horocruxes of defeat, disappoint, depression and delusion of grandeur with our sword of incessant hope, willingness and tenacity. Every time we hit a low, our spirit comes to our rescue. Sometimes we stay in the dungeons for a bit longer but ultimately our inner light guides us through. Every advancement in human civilization has been possible because of this courage. 

So three cheers to all of us, may we keep creating our spells and hexes
