Most of us have heard about Fibonacci sequence. In this sequence each number is the sum of two numbers preceding it.  Its first few numbers are 0 1 1 2 3 5 8…… You get the idea. The golden ratio is a further extension of this. We see it in nature all around us. The pine cone, leaves, branches etc. We use it for  predicting stock market, computer algorithms, biology, maths and even poetry. It was first described by an indian mathematician Pingala in 200 BC. 

But why am I talking about a mathematical sequence ? Because it helps us in increasing our effort instead of wasting time quibbling over minor differences. That we can be more productive if we don’t waste our time finding faults in others. It tells us that whatever is happening now is the result of our previous effort.  So in order to be successful we can try to improve our karma. I take it as a life lesson. To me it implies that if we can learn to be more patient and tolerant, we can find the golden ratio in our life. 

We all want a happy, healthy, wealthy and fulfilling life. But do we try  to help others also in this endeavor or do we just think of achieving our goals. How are our preceding actions? Are they in a correct sequence or have we squandered our energy by being selfish? There is golden ration in nature, why can’t we have it ? It requires just compassion and tolerance, two magical numbers in our life sequence.
