Do nothing

What a thing to say. But do you have any idea how difficult it is to do nothing. I am not talking about not doing your daily chores. I am talking about doing nothing with your brain. 

I must be crazy. You might think that. But you want to be calm, peaceful and smiling all the time? You want to remain unaffected in the midst of a crisis? Then do nothing.

It is quite simple. Pick a time when you can lie down. Make sure you have a comfortable spot. Now comes the difficult part. Switch off your cell phone. Close your eyes and relax. Don't play any music. Let your mind wander for a few moments. Then try to empty your mind of all thoughts. Ha ha!! That is the time you will remember all the things you have to do, all the things you have been postponing and the party you have been planning. 

Just push these thoughts by saying' thanks for coming but please leave now'. Actually say that. 'Just Be'. If possible concentrate a little over your eyebrows. If you can not let it be.  Lie down for at least ten minutes. Try to increase the time slowly.

As you keep doing it for a month or so, you will find your inner turmoil subsiding. You will be more peaceful. Time taken can vary depending on your mental state right now. But it works. I Know!!! 

This thoughtless state of mind is very difficult to achieve but even if you can achieve for some time in a day, you feel more energized and motivated. In fact you will find that you are achieving more in your career and profession. 

Carry this feeling when you are going in an important meeting even going in a party. That feeling of calm in all that chaos around you is wonderful. Be with yourself.

As Sadguru says, if you are alone and and feel lonely, you are in bad company!! Be in good company and be happy.
