He came, He saw and He conquered

 We have heard this statement about Napoleon Bonaparte .  But today as I was doing the morning radio show, it occurred to me that it can be applied to Shah Rukh Khan. Today is his birthday and I am sure that as he looks back at his career, he can smile and enjoy his life today.

I see in him the personifications of all the principles that the success gurus tell us to follow. Clear goal, right focus, a determination  to succeed at all costs and taking steps in that direction. I see tenacity, perseverance, an ability to take risks and an attitude of owning the place he goes to. 

Aren't these the qualities Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy and other speakers tell us are essential for success? I am not a big fan of his but I am a fan of his hard work and his tenacity. He did not come from a film family, didn't have much money and didn't know anybody in the big, bad film industry. Yet today he is the King Khan and for younger generation outside India he is the sole contact point of romance and family values through his films.

Some may say I am making role model of a man who is just an actor and who has been always embroiled in controversy . I am just writing this to show that no matter what your field of work is, one has to work hard, persevere and take risk. One has to pay the price. So, if you want to succeed be ready to pay the price.

So be it!!!!
