Every flaw has a benefit

 Every flaw has a benefit

Yes, it’s true. You must be thinking I am crazy. We human beings, aim for perfection in our lives. In relationships, in communication, even art. We strive for it and feel frustrated when we can’t achieve perfection.

Flaws are not valued by us. Any flaw is seen as a weakness despite the fact that flaws are a part of us. More than noticing flaws of others, we notice our flaws and want to improve these. Hence the billion dollar industry of self help books, seminars and boot camps.

From body shaming to a perfect home we stress ourselves so much that we forget to live in the moment. But just imagine if everyone and everything was perfect in this world? Do you think it will be utopia?

On the contrary, it will be one hell of a boring place. There will be no growth of human thought because there will be no conflict.

It will be like living in Stepford wives.

Our flaws make us human in real sense. They shape our personality and motivate us to become a better version of ourselves. They force us to introspect and find answers. They fuel our insecurities in a positive way.

Interestingly a flaw in us that we spend hours pondering on could be seen as a strength by someone else. A person who talks too much could be envied by someone who doesn’t have communication skills.

I am not advocating that we shouldn’t improve our flaws. It’s just that we shouldn’t be obsessed with them. We don’t have to eliminate our flaws, we just have to change the way we use them. Believe me you can.

What are your flaws and how do you deal with them? Do share , I look forward to your thoughts.

Be happy with your flaws.

So be it !!!
