‘As a person acts, so he becomes in life’ - Upnishad

Again and again, I am surprised and not really surprised that our scriptures have such wealth of wisdom. We do what we think and we become what we do. How true. An act of kindness brings us immense joy and starts a chain reaction. So does an act of being unkind or cruel. Have you ever noticed how anger is fuelled if you keep repeating the grudge again and again. All of us have experience it.

Your blood pressure rises, your heart rate goes up to offset the adrenaline pumping into your body. It’s actually a heady feeling. A feeling of loss or depression always follows it. Isn’t it? People who are perpetually angry or hold negative thought age faster and have fine lines and wrinkles sooner than expected.  Worry also has the same effect. We think of everything possible that can go wrong and you know what? It does go wrong. And there we are, saying to ourselves, ‘I knew it’.

Most of us sabotage our own success by letting our subconscious to think negative. So many times, when everything is going for us, we think ‘oh, how long will it last?’ And we suddenly find ourselves stuck and thus fulfill our own prophecy.

Just like in Harry Potter, Voldemort, the villain, fulfills the prophecy that Harry is going to be his downfall by trying to kill him, so we start this vicious cycle of negativity and bring our doom on ourselves.

If you have been doing this, stop it now. Train your subconscious mind to bring positive thoughts. How? That, I’ll tell you tomorrow. Till then think positive

So be it!!!
